Almost a month ago I bought a fuji instax 210 off ebay, and it finally arrived today! My post office actually had it on the 10th already, but they never sent me a message about it (or it got lost in the mail) until today, when I got a reminder saying that I needed to pick it up before it was returned to the sender. Anyway, the camera has to be one of the ugliest cameras ever, but I really like the wide format. After the rain stopped we took a little walk to try it out.

ReplyDeleteIt is so funny you posted these today because I have been researching the same camera for about a month! From what I can see, it takes beautiful photographs. I really love the tones, especially in the first two frames. The landscape looks enchanting.

ReplyDeletebianca: I don't think I've ever lost something in the mail, but it's always nervous when you're waiting for packages. And I had been worrying about this for weeks!
I definitely like the pictures it produces, but the camera is so ugly (and it's freakishly big!) that it takes away a little of the charm. The aperture and shutterspeeds could be better as well (f/14 and 1/64-1/200). Still think it's worth it if you can find it for a good price though :)

thao: a slr is something everyone should have, and quite a big difference from instant cameras, so I think you made the right choice :)

ReplyDeleteJag började precis kolla runt på Polaroid kameror och hittade just Fuji films instax 210 och för att inte tala om din blogg. Att tillägga är jag ingen fotofantast utan tänkte använda den till att spara sköna minnen från bl.a. sommaren. Är det värt att investera i en sådan? känner att överföring till datorn och så inte är något jag orkar göra i sommar när man är på frifot hela tiden. Med tanke på att du köpte den från Ebay antar jag att det var utanför Sveriges gränser. Frågan är då vartifrån och vad frakt och tull hamnade på?
ReplyDeletejohannes: det är absolut värt att investera i! ett par nackdelar är dock att kameran är fruktansvärt ful och stor (fast å andra sidan är det kanske bara jag som bryr mig om sådant), och att den ibland envisas med att använda blixt om ljuset bara är en aning för dåligt även om man självmant har stängt av blixten. annars är det en ypperligt trevligt kamera (och framförallt formatet), och den funkar säkerligen bäst på sommaren - den är relativt lätt att bära med sig trots sin storlek. frakten gick på ca 180kr, men ingen tullavgift eftersom jag köpte den inom europa (UK), så om du letar upp en på ebay.co.uk som också skickar från UK slipper du garanterat tullen :)
