on a rainy midsummer day

Two of our meals from yesterday. In the morning - waffles and strawberries. I think I have made this into a weekend ritual without even thinking about it, always making waffles on the first day of the weekend, probably since I don't have enough time to make breakfasts like this when I work (and I always long for something other to eat than the pieces of toast, yoghurt and coffee I normally have on work days). Later, we had a late midsummer lunch, which then ended up being our dinner as well.

  15. i love how you can see the carpet in your second picture. most table shots include only the dishes served, but the carpet gives a new depth to it.

  21. Gorgeous! Were these shot with a film SLR? Or is this processing on a digital?

    1. these are digital and the processing consists of adding contrast and a softening layer on top of each image!
