monday

Went for a walk earlier tonight and said hello to our neighbour's horses. Using the instax has really been disappointing lately, for some reason there is just such a lack of the kind of colours and warmth that I am used to seeing with this camera. Oh well. Easter has been very slow, besides a few walks with Leo I have basically just been sitting by the window in my bedroom, and I have managed to read through three books in just a few days - it usually takes me at least a couple weeks to finish a book. Hope you have had a nice weekend!

tuesday

It has been raining all day, so I decided to stay inside and make cookies ('jitterbuggar' in swedish), which is basically just pastry dough and meringue. To my surprise they taste like delicious waffles. Perfect with a glass of milk.

color shade

For christmas last year Leo gave me three packs of the impossible project's px-70 color shade film (polaroid), but I haven't had a chance to try it out until today. This is what the first test shot looked like about 7 hours after it was taken. So far I'm thinking that it needs to be pushed and heated much more to gain more colour/tones. Looking at this in real life almost looks like a monochrome photograph, but once I scanned it just now the scanner seemed to find more pink, purple and slightly golden tones that I really can't see when holding the polaroid in my hand. It is nice to have new film to experiment with, nevertheless.

wednesday

I love finding unexpected things in the mail, and this brightened my whole day.

I can't remember what this technique is called, but it's a painting carved/burned into a piece of wood, by Uli! I love the owl on my head. Please visit Uli's blog, she does amazing things.

Among other things, I have barely had a chance to sit down by the computer since friday last week for some reason, so I must apologise for the lack of new entries. I'll be back on track now, hopefully.

sova magazine

Some nice things landed in the mail this morning, the first issue of Sova Magazine was one of them - a magazine that both Leo and I have some photos in. This little publication is truly gorgeous, it comes in two editions (normal + 'sleepless'). As we were opening up the sleepless edition it felt like opening the record sleeve of a special edition of some album, and all sorts of things fall out, like little pieces of art work and such (if that makes any sense). A huge thank you to Martin for letting us be a part of this! You can buy a copy of the magazine here. (There's also a short interview with me over at time of the thieves.)
